How to prepare yourself from Hurricanes

Hurricanes are among nature’s most powerful and destructive phenomena on earth. On an average, 12 tropical storms, out of which 6 become hurricane form over the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico during the hurricane season which runs from June 1 to November 30 each year.

Here are some Safety and Precautionary measures we can take to secure ourselves from such hurricanes-

hurricane hazard risk;
1. Understand what are the possible hazards and risks involved, and educate your family and friends about it.
Secure base;
2. Secure your base from damage.
Hazard Insurance;
3. Financially back up your assets and family from hazard.
Hurricane info;
4. Stay up to date with information on the potential hazards that might be approaching your location.
Hurricane supplies;
5. Gather your supplies with the first warning you get.
Hurricance evacuation;
5. Prepare an evacuation and emergency response plan with your family and execute accordingly.

By knowing what actions to take before the hurricane season begins, when a hurricane approaches, and when the storm is in your area, as well as what to do after a hurricane leaves your area, you can increase your chance of survival.
